Home exchanging
The idea is that you swap your home with another HomeLink member for the duration of your holiday. You stay in their home while they stay in yours. You don't pay rent and neither does the other person. It's a free exchange, and we call it a HomeLink holiday. Exchanging gives you a holiday base with all the comforts, space and privacy of home, and a far better holiday. Take a few days in Amsterdam, two weeks in California, or a tour of Australia. Exchangers are most interested in the location. As one journal said about exchanging cottages and mansions, "size doesn't matter, so long as the place is right"
HomeLink is unique amongst home exchange organisations in producing the international directories in full colour, including photographs. It is also unique in providing facilities on the website for members to edit their listings at anytime. Add paragraphs of text, format and set colours for headings; almost anything you would like to do can be done. How the concept works Each year HomeLink publishes the International Holiday Exchange Directory; 800+ pages containing thousands of individual 'listings', including photographs of homes.
These describe the homes and holiday preferences of members seeking a home-swap holiday during the current year, and they make fascinating reading! Members' addresses, phone/fax numbers and email addresses are included in each listing. The directory comprises three books published between December and May. You receive all three books, and your listing appears in the next one published after the date you join. From any book simply select a few listings that meet your requirements and then make contact. Meanwhile, other members abroad will have seen your listing and will be contacting you.
Security & confidence
We place the highest importance on security of our members' personal details. We also understand your need for confidence that each partner in an exchange is a bona fide member whose address and other personal details have been verified by us. Our web database uses the highest standard available for password encryption, and we are the only organisation which offers full security for our members' email addresses. Members using our email alias address service are automatically protected from most of the spam and emailed viruses currently in circulation on the Internet.
